Hi folks, thought the best place to post this would be here as I'm in need of some advice on timing up of my ABF
I have recently bought the ABF to put in my mk1, its fitted with bike carbs and Newman 270 cams and Kent vernier pulley. I thought it would be best to renew the cambelt and tensioner before dropping it into the mk1 as I'm unsure of its history.
I've got a question about tdc, is it on the compression stroke on cylinder 1 or is it before the inlet stroke ??
Cheers

TDC cylinder 1 compression stroke, firing on 1 rocking on 4 make sure you check all timing marks to be sure you're not 180 degrees out and if the rocker covers off and you can see your cams then that's an extra way to see you're on the right stroke
