Help me plz :(
Thanks with the help from the guys on my last post I hooked up my new inline fuel pump. Went to try and get the car to turn over and it didn't, so my guess are low fuel pressure or the fuel pump isn't getting power. Any ideas on how to fix these issues? I got the car for $300 so my feelings aren't getting hurt any.
If you see me post it's cuz I got confused with the mk1 gas cap

Morning mate, for some reason your post went into completely the wrong section so I've moved it.
No idea why but now you should start to get a response or two.
As for the problem I can't help I'm afraid, the best I can do is to 'Bump' you to the top of the list in the hope one of our experts can!

Not enough information.
Year of car, specific model as well.
Engine size
Injected or Carbed.
shoot even diesel?
Yes I know of folks using a lift pump, or an in-line pump on a Diesel as they are too cheap to rebuild the IP.

How are you getting on with your car?
Did you source a battery? the correct fitment I believe is a 063. I've just changed mine.
I would go for as big a cold cranking and reserve power as is available in that size.
something like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/063XD-Advanced-XD-Plus-Car-Battery-12v-50ah-540cca-5yr-Warranty/181651438289
After you get the car turning over, next is a check to see if you have spark. Wip a plug out and have a look whilst someone cranks the engine.
I guess you've done the above. I've just put it there in case.
Next is the fuel pressure, after reading your other posts, have you determined if you have a live feed and an earth to the pump with the ignition on?
If you look at the diagram Briano sent, you will see a relay, number 2 'fuel pumps' on the diagram. If there is no buzzing when you turn the ignition on, try Temporarly swapping it with relay 17. If it buzzes then, get a new fuel pump relay.
Mine didnt work, swapped it over, fitted a new battery then everything worked fine, so by all means, try the original relay back in there again if fitting relay 17 works.
Once the pump is buzzing you should be in business, remember not to remove the intake pipe to the inlet manifold from the air filter though, if there's no vacuum/pressure on the air box, I don't think it will start, as the air flow sensor inside the fuel distributor wont be sensing anything!
Hope this helps.

No, your engine turns over or cranks but won't catch.
Cranks Nice but won't turn over is opposites..
No worries, we knew what you meant.
