The New Audi A4 what do you think?
and i have to say what a disappointment the basic shape is the same as mine and thats on a 03 plate, the dash just reminds me of the old vauxhall Caviler or an early Nissan primera exept for the sat nav.
I was hoping for some imagination here i have to say i find the new mondeo a far better looking car
anyway that's my opinion what do you think?

Never really been in to Audis although can't knock them - typical German quality etc.
I went in an A6 last year which I think is a decent looking car but thought it looked very 'plasticy' inside for such a pricey motor.
Cheers

Works on the Audi A5 platform too so it's a bit more classy
Still not too bothered about the Xmas decor at the front though :?

a4's are a bit poorly suspended , well the ride on my ma's 56 plate 20 tdi is about as smooth as egyptian whisky :?
the new oil/iron filing suspension is supposedly an improvement.
oh and the dealers ,up here, are terrible!!

Got to admit the new mondeo does look better now but imagine in 3 years time when everone has one and stuff is starting to go wrong!

sorry, but i don't value vw's build quality anymore. i think a ford or vaxhaul is no longer a lesser car.

i kind of know what your saying about vw's build quality, but until youve driven a new vectra or astra and experienced how horrendous their chassis are i wouldnt change just yet.
ive driven a lot of ford/mazda rentals, i had a mondeo estate tdci for a few weeks and the amount of plastics that were either not screwed down or fell off (roof lining, armrest, screws missing everywhere) oh and the Dual density flywheel is a freakin nightmare, they still feel very American to me

Audi design peaked with the late 90s A6.
I must admit I do like the design of the R8 and with a reg plate like I've got I was chuffed when Audi brought out the A5 as its value went much higher all of a sudden
the A6 has never done it for me, the back end just didn't look right
I like the TT and the A3 is OK but like i said when I started this thread the "New" A4 is just the old one with a few mods I wish they could have done something to make it more individual, at night and at 100 paces its profile looks the same as it has for the last 15yrs or so.

IMO..if you break the mould you're kind of admitting that the previous incarnation was flawed..Audi couldnt be seen to be radically changing a product at this stage of its life..Porsche 911 anyone?
