oh deer!!
iv just taken the bottom half of my dash and centre console out to put the guages in the stereo slot and i found about 15-20 chopped wires that dont go anywhere and im having trouble finding someone to rewire it who actually knows what there doin has any one got any ideas or know of anyone in the surrey area

Maybe the wires to an old alarm that has been cut out and left there.
Do the other electrics all work, if no its worth consulting a wiring diagram
befor you get involved.

I've got a good dozen behind my stereo which 3 are a constant live! and as for the lighting concerning the headlights . I think the previous owner must of had 4 cibies spot lamps on at one time.

I think its time you purchased a good old multimeter! Only cost about ?10-15 and very useful in such messy situations!
At leasy you can find out which wires are live when ignition is on etc.

come to mention it there were a couple of brackets just sitting there but the wires behind the dash most of them go threw the bulkhead and i took the alarm out when i got the car and i took all ythe stereo wires out as welland all the light work apart from the hazards
