part numbers?

hi looking at metering heads for me conversion just checking parts no's
i found one for sale part no's are 051 133 837A and 0438 101 039. is this the right part for my car

1.8 gti out off scirroco btw

are the 1.8 and 1.6 gti metering heads the same

They're slightly different. If you run one on the other, it won't be optimal, but it will work alright.

Part number for mk1 Golf/Scirocco 1.6 metering head is 049 133 481 JX, the part number for mk1 Golf/Sciroicco 1.8 is 049 133 481 LX. As paul says they have slightly different calibration.

051 133 837A comes up as an air cleaner box, can't find out for what though and 0438 101 039 looks like a Bosch part number.

bosche metering head according to listing for golf unknown model but gpooing shopping at scrappy in a gti scirroco comp[lete engine bay soon ( the wife paying its my chrimbo pressie)

i love the scrap yard especcially there exotic section and the aioroplanes

Looks like 051 133 837A is an air cleaner box assembly for a Passat 88-91.

I've got ETOS, but when you enter a part number it only brings up a description and no detail of what it is for, is ETKA different :dontknow:

I've not used the ETOS. The ETKA system is like the one used by the VW dealers. It shows exploded views of systems and gives part no. information and usage. It covers all the marques and models in the VAG empire up to the point of issue.

ETOS is similar by the sound of it, just the search feature on it is useless, doesn't like searching for part names and when you search for a number just brings up a description.
