need a new mk1 16v exhaust system
The Magnex has been on there since 1996 and I managed to sell the Magnex manifold for ?180 when I did the conversion.
I have now decided the car is too loud, especially when flooring it or on the motorway.
Someone suggested I could get the internals of the silencers replced??
failing that it is either a full system from GSF which would be about ?80 although would this mate to my Ashley 4 branch or not?
Or a new stainless system from Longlife.
I want to make it quiter the cheapest way possible, I do however like the tailpipe of the Magnex. although a standard exhaust would add to the sleeper effect.
What should I do??
Cheers

I used there straight through centre section pipe on the cabrio and its a nice sound level, but they do one that includes extra silencers as well. fits great and all! :y:
I'd imagine that whichever exhaust you go for you'll need to adapt it where it mates to the ashley manifold as its quite a fair old diameter!

If you go to the supersprint website you can get the part numbers for all the variations. they do a few cetre sections and a few tailpipe options as well.
Give those part numbers to your friendly halfords man and order them in. :y:

what does nice sound level mean??
would a 2.25" Ashley Manifold to straight through pipe to exhaust be too loud??
