I need to replace the bolster on my drivers seat so I'm after a passenger seat or will take a whole interior if needs be, needs to be blue with the red detail, I'm in Newport South Wales but will travel a bit for the right seat, cheers

Why not have the bolster and cloth repaired instead of an entire interior or single seat?

That's what I intend on doing, using the material from a passenger seat to repair the drivers seat, I've asked for a single seat but if someone is only willing to sell a complete interior then I'd consider buying the whole lot

You can buy the material on its own from https://www.werk34.de and save the hassle of taking seats and stripping interior.
That's what I've done, same interior as yours by the sounds of it. Made life much easier for me anyway.
Good luck, have fun and enjoy!

mattjones - same interior as mine.
Werk34 sell both styles of cloth and a decent car trim expert will build up damaged bolsters and re upholster the seat.
This is who I am using…
www.trimmania.com
Depends where you live obviously but gives you an idea.

Hope you don't mind me asking but what are the trimmers charging? A couple of friends have used a guy local to me who does great work and been charged what I think is a reasonable major price. But when I got a quote is was nearly double what they paid.BirchyB0y said

Hi Wes
I will be paying £350 cash at Trimmania.
This is for a retrim of all outer sections on both front seats.
Rebuild of foam 2 bolsters on the drivers seat side closest to the door.
New cable on drivers seat so it moves back and forth letting people in the back.
Complete reset of both front seats centre sections, bum and back, including clips and setting in place.
They will also repair passenger seat high adjuster, greased and lubed all runners and pulls.
Car goes in Saturday and will have her back late next week.
Hope this helps!

I supplied the replacement cloth bought from Werk34, 3 metres to be safe but 2 metres should do it. Cost for cloth was circa Ã,£100. So all in around Ã,£450.00
Keeping the car 100% original and factory.
Seats will be as good as new.
For me, it saves killing another MK1 interior, robbing bits from one to another and preserves more parts / interiors keeping them 'together'.
Each to their own as they say and of course budget!

That's what my friends paid for retrims on other cars but for my mk1 he wants 650 for exactly the work you mentioned. Time too shop further afield I think.

A new foam seat base is only about £80.00 that would save time and labour for the trimmer shaping foam up to match.
I refurbed mine a few years ago with new foam cushions. I did a how to in the guides section.
