Thought I'd share this with you guys incase it helps anyone else out, my injectors in my series 1 have been in place for 36 years and only 1 came out easily, so I bought myself a M12x1.5 bolt & 2 matching nuts, locked the nuts so I had thread to screw into the injector with the fuel line removed, grabbed under the top of the bolt with grips and used the rocker cover as a pivot to hit the injectors up as I couldn't fit a slide hammer in due to the angle of the inlet manifold, made life really easy no damage done to the seats or threads lines etc either nice clean removal, good thing I got them out to teet properly as cylinders 3 & 4 were 100% blocked! New set on the way

That's a brilliant idea! I wish I'd thought of that when I was having my injection troubles! I made one out of a piece of metal bent at 90 degrees with a slot for the injector and a slot for a screwdriver to lever it with.

Only think I would of done different is to use a strip of wood under the Grips to prevent the rocker from getting dinged.
Brilliant.

Cheers! As you can see the rocker cover wasn't too concerning for me but it didn't actually damage it at all as the area load was spread out but a block of wood/cloth could be used without any botherBriano1234 said

Great idea, I remember my uncle fabricating a similar device for my MK1's years ago. Like mentioned earlier, best ideas have the simplest solutions
