1.1 C Solid.

Sad Sad day for me starts with writing this advertisment, im putting up for sale me 1982 1.1C

Now then, this is the first time ive ever put a car up for sale so im just gonna do my best, ill happily answer questions and will be as honest as I can.

Reason for sale being, want something abit nippier, also cant afford the petrol basically need something with higher MPG.

Good bits:

65k believed genuine- early and late history and quite a few receipts. Last 5 MOTS show 10k. Last service was done about two months ago by a  The book even has the accessories price list from June 1982

New battery, alternator, points, dizzy cap, coil & plugs. All shocks, front disks and pads replaced just over a year ago. New back box and exhaust pipe, Just had a new windscreen aswell, someone kindly bricked it  :banghead:

14 " BBS alloys with 4 new Uniroyal Rallye 550s (not cheapies) covered less than 1000 miles. No centre caps though, nicked  (i have the original 13" steel wheels- 3 good tyres 1 needs replacing) if you're a purist.

The underside, inner arches, boot well etc. are as solid as a rock (excuse the cliche) The car is in good condition for it's age- 25 yrs If you speak to Tom (holeinmk1) he will tell you as he's seen it first hand, if you read this mate your voice would be tip top. Ive not done any work myself, no bodge jobs what so ever, been taken to the garage a few times. I bought this 6months ago for ?650.00 was told there was nothing wrong with it at all, needed a new water pump and a new timing belt, also a new battery. Spent about ?350-400 quid on it and now I believe there really is nothing wrong. Obviously you can see for yourself on viewing!

bad bits:

there are a couple of small parking dents on the passenger side.

both front wings have a couple of small parking dents and a bit of rust around the edge of the arches and at the front clip- they not rotten though. Recently fit a Chin Spoiler.

the bottom half of the passenger door has a scab of rust, not rotten though, and is painted a slightly darker shade (burgandy/red) than the rest of the car.

a patch of the rear quarter has also been sprayed with the same colour.

The rear arch on the passenger side also has a scab, but again not rotten.

The paintwork on the tailgate is dull and has a white patch around the wiper.

With a really good T-Cut and wax im sure the paint will come out alot better, although there still is alot of good paint on there.

These pictures are small, ill upload some more

Well questions will be answered honestly, car starts first time %99 of the time! and runs really well, had problems abit back with jerkiness but that is sorted now, something to do with timing and mixture.

This car is more than a good base its been super reliable for me, using it as a daily runner.

?700.00 ono

Edit* all the rain yesterday caused abit of a leak, a small puddle in the passenger footwell. Also moisture must have gotten into the clocks as the fuel gauge and temp gauge have stopped working. Im sure all the car needs is a good dry out to get the clocks working again, and maybe abit of sealent. Bearing in mind this is the first time its happend, no rot etc. just some water seeped in with the heavy rain. Everything else works still EVERYTHING!

Ill try get the clocks fixed asap.

Dials now working, and leak I think has been sorted. Come on people. Its a great example.

To be honest have it resprayed and you could probably call it a minter. Except for the wear on drivers seat obviously.
