Underfuelling to Overfuelling
My car is running lean, i know this as i had it rolling roaded and got told so.
What are they ways i could (either do myself or not) to get it bang on, or even rich?

You could get a Gunson Colortune and do it yourself.
You screw it into a spark plug hole. allows you to see if the engine is burning the fuel correctly. You then adjust the mixture until its ok.
They work well. Halfords do them for ?23

simon the best thing to do is check the colour of the plugs. you can use the haynes pictures to ensure your fuelling is alright but make sure you clean them if you change the screw setting
where did they check the fuelling from ? exhaust tip ?
make sure your exhaust has no leaks in the joints as this will make it look lean but it probably won't be as the extra oxygen in the gases will take the lambda reading up

na thats one thing thats ok at the moment, my system is totally welded/joined form manifold to the tip, with no gaps or anything.
sorry no idea where they took reading from. but i guess it doesnt matter too much anyway.
as i dont even know how or where to adjust it even if i wanted to.

that's good about the exhaust then, they probably took it from the exhaust tip
if you look at the metering head from the front of the car, between where the braided pipes are and the rubber moulding for the inlet pipe there is a small tube that sticks up from the airbox if you get a long i think 3 or 4mm allen key and turn it say an 1/8th of a turn clock wise this will add some more fuel i don't know how much extra fuel but it will add some just don't turn it too much and make a note of how far you've gone.
hope the explanation helps
