Stalling on idle

Hi all

Title pretty much says it all.  I pull up to a junction, come to a stop, it stalls.  I do a three point turn, it stalls on each point.  I sit at the traffic lights, it stalls.

I DO remember to press the clutch down when I come to a stop  

I had initially thought it's due to the cold weather.. but it does it even after a 40 mile trip.

Any ideas?  It is in need of a service, but that won't happen now for a while due to lack of funds.  It's gone into semi-retirement while I'm living in the city, so she shouldn't complain!

do you have a manual or auto choke if its manual does it tick over (albeit badly) when you pull the choke out ? i had a similar problem with mine and it was a fuse for the carb blown  hth

Auto choke.  I fully accept problems in the cold weather, but not after long journeys :/ :/

i had a similar problem and it turned out to be the distributor
