Fitting a mechanical fuel pump- help needed

Post

Hello

Think I may have a dodgy pump (working 90% of the time and not seeming to pull through fuel, allowing the car to 'starve' sometimes).

I've therefore decided to change the pump out- is it simply a bolt off, bolt on affair?
Gather I may need to replace and seal a new gasket?

Thanks for your help/pointers.

yeah its pretty much like you say, clamp fuel pipes, undo those first change pump and gasket, bolt new one up, attach pipes and test, make sure you check bolts after a run

20min job

thanks for the pointers- great help and also gave me some much needed confidence to get it done :)

On, running and seems to be ok. Will check the bolts later. Added some gasket sealer to the rubber mount and the pump itself too.

cheers
