Any suggestions on where to buy? And, anything else I need to consider when doing this?
Thanks again!

There are loads of places that sell it on eBay and it works out cheaper. I haven't actually brought any from anyone yet.
What exactly are the symptoms. It could be loads of things, although a carb clean out and replacing hoses is a good place to start. Have you been through rubjonnys 2e2 carb checklist? Assuming it is a 2e2?

Halfords have it on the shelf hanging in little packets, they have 2 diameters so take yours in and make sure it is the right one and make sure tight. I used slightly too big and took me months to realise that the link to the green ball was slightly leaking just enough to make it not work.

Thanks- halfords it is then- ideally want to have look today.
It's a weber (manual choke) on a 1.8 clipper. The stuttering was put down to a dodgy filler and crud in the tank, these are now replaced (alongsude pump and vapour seperator) and although crud has been caught I'm suspecting a vacuum leak could also be an issue. I'm also gonna check the carb for leak around the base and give it a clean.

the best place is VW, the cheapest place is ebay. pattern braided hose is just nowhere near as good as genuine it goes brittle very quickly whereas vw hose lasts for at least 10 years sometimes longer. its bloody expensive but then you know its gonna be lasting!

cool- I'll give that a look..VW prices scare me though

N 020 291 3 - overbraid vacuum hose, 3.5x3 - 15.43+VAT per meter(!!!!)
N 020 353 27 - plain rubber hose, 3.5x2 - 9.06+VAT per meter
I'm pretty sure those prices are for a roll of 5 meters, but the dealers always charge per meter. my mate the lucky git got 5 meters for the quoted price.
Sometimes if you're lucky genuine hose comes up on ebay

Forgot to add. It's the braided type and looks just like the genuine hose.
I was gonna systematicallychange it all out for new but after a carb clean all is well…for now anyhow. How much do you want per meter- may come back in the coming weeks.
