sorry to mess about chaps, unless you want the MK2 or the cool camper on the stand then can you take my name off again.

i'm defo coming up, but seeing as I'm trying to sell the MK2 and its a Retro show then the GTI show it'd make good sense for me to bring the MK2 up there in case anyone fancies a purchase.. (fingers crossed)

I'll be bringing my Mk1 Scirocco but it will either be in the camping area, or on the strip itself, or parked on its own out the way in the pits or something. It was on a Mk1 Golf stand once (as an exception, for an unofficial stand), but it didn't go down too well, so I've not even suggested or asked if I can be cheeky and stick it on the Golf stand. We have potentially 20 Mk1 Golfs if everyone pays up and turns up, so I think its going to be quite tightly packed with Mk1s anyhow. Also we've never needed a large camper before as a "support" vehicle. So from an official point of view, I think it will have to be a "No". Its a good suggestion but I think we need to stick with the clear guidelines recently outlined in previous threads, etc. In any case, my understanding is you set a camper up in the camping area, then get all your crockery, etc out so moving it around the showground would be an inconvenience more than anything else.

i agree paul, wouldnt want it on the stand anyway, i was joking as a suggestion because of recent posts (caddy thread)

as you say it'll be straight on campsite, kettle on and settle for weekend without going anywhere….

Plus as Wendy says, cos we'll be up early she'll eb using it for afternoon siesta's

You dont need a pass for festival….. just tell the marshalls you are in club displays MK1golf Owners Club, you just then have to look for the Mk1 flag.

Best to be there for around 9.00.
