Coilover Problem!!!!!!!!!!
The trouble is that when i had my suspension lowered by a friend of mine the coilover on both sides now touches the inside tyre walls.
It has been pretty much slammed in all honesty and i don't fancy spending ?45 on 10mm spacers to push them outwards
The Front 2 wheels sit pretty flush with the arches where as the rears are set more inwards.
Would it make any difference if i swapped the fronts and the rears round or are the offsets all the same
any suggestions as i've seen loads of mk1's slammed on Steelies
thanks

There are eccentric bolts that you loosen and spin round and tighten to adjust the camber on the front but you should get the tracking done properly at a garage along with the camber. If you have a brake compensator you should really get that adjusted too.

There are 10mm spacers that i can buy. but i'm not sure if they will give it enough clearence as well as being unsure as to whether i would have to buy new elongated wheel bolts.
thanks again

Would it make any difference if i had the suspension lifted by say 15mm. Would that take some of the camber away Ross

It probably wouldnt be enough to clear it if its anything like mine was. If you raised it 15mm you would still need to get the camber and tracking adjusted.
If its sitting at the height you want it, I would try and adjust the camber so they arent rubbing so that you can get to a garage and get it all done.
Im not sure if you need longer bolts for 10mm spacers but remember it adds extra stress on your bearings and they might stick out and look a bit stupid compared to the rears…..
