Saving another Mk1 how much will this one cost me lol
Weirdly enough i topped the hydraulic hood pump up the other week as it was on minimum, and
It's found it's out again 😂 under the near side sill drain hole and onto the drive, and it's defo the vw fluid i put in it 😂 one of the unions on top of the pump is leaking under pressure, another job on the list

And a ups parcel arrived from Germany today with my classic parts in it
Brand new OE fuse box, brand new OE 62 fuel pump relay
Let's hope that cures some of the issues it has as the old fuse box has got wet at some point and i think it's causing running issues and several other things to stop working, like wipers, rear heated screen, blowers, when bypassed they all work fine so it's defo the fuse box
Hope it sorts the running issue where it just won't pull under load over 3-4 k
If not, it's going to be distributor and metering head next and potentially main fuel pump 😂
If nothing else it will have all been replaced for new

And
It finally starts properly, runs on all four all the time, ticks over! and drives lovely, needs a few final tweaks with proper CO meter but it's pretty much there.
This forum and all the help and advice i have had and found have been totally invaluable
Final piece of the puzzle was to add the refurbished Avus "snowflake" alloys and new tyres
It's come a fair way from when i bought it on a gloomy day in 2019! It's not perfect, but it's perfectly good as they say
