Settling In
I've been a member here for a while, we bought a 1990 Gti convertible back in the day, this place was an absolute gold mine of information for keeping it on the road etc.
Our little Golf was used as daily transport for years with no major problems, any that did occur were dealt with using the knowledge on here.
A pretty major health issue meant the Golf was mothballed whilst more modern transport was needed, fast forward 10! (ten) years later the boss (wife), decided it should be moved on to fund our long standing air-cooled addiction.
This is not a for sale advert in drag (when it's got an MOT it will be all over the internet like a rash!).
Basically, when I needed some info for bits that needed doing on the car, this is still the place to come to, a very useful resource I have used heavily, you should all be proud of being a part of it.
Thankyou
Shameless pic, should anyone need a nice Gti cab int the near future

The Facebook page seems to have a lot of younger owners and a hell of a lot of South African owners whose speciality seems to be ruining Mk1 Golf Citis

From my experience of this site and more recently the official Facebook page is that the forum is still the place to go to for more accurate information and help from genuine owners that really know their cars…

Besides some of us that have been in the computer biz since the mainframe days, don't do Social Media, and have a love to hate affair with FB, and other sites.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
