I've been without a VW for a good few years now, but decided to purchase this Rivage last week. I collect the car on Saturday and I'll be looking to store it while I decide whether to go back down the original route, or leave it as it is. The car will hopefully be with me for longer than the last one, and I'd like to give it to my son one day (he's only three, so plenty of time for me to enjoy it!). I always regretted selling my previous Rivage, so this is quite a big deal to me. I hope you like it, and look forward to taking it out to the odd meeting next year!

They seem to hold steady money wise but good fun when they run well

Welcome back to getting a VW.
It looks good, I see it came with the 15" Le Castellet alloys if you decide to change it back to its original look.

I'm hoping to do a few bits next year, but for now I'm just going to enjoy the last bit of sunshine in it! Winter will give me time to decide on any changes. I'm so glad to have one again!!!Alps said
Well done, saw that one for sale, never a bad choice with Rivage`s.

Yep, that was a big selling point as I've always loved the original wheels. Great to have options!Windy Miller said

Thank you! I will definitely end up doing a few bits but nothing major. I love the car in its original form, so I'll be happy either way. 🙂Sportline19 said

I know, I'm so happy that it's not raining! Should (hopefully) be an enjoyable drive home. I live in Shooters Hill now, but parents are in Kent. Might see you out and about! 👋🏻Windy Miller said

So I've decided to get the original wheels polished and will be selling the gold wheels as soon as the refurbished ones are back on. Does anyone know a good place to use for polished the Le Castellet wheels? Lots of places offer a diamond cut finish, but can't seem to find someone who will polish them up back to their former glory. Thanks
Great VW, oem route is the way to go I feel with this kind of model. Looking forward to your work on this.

Did you have any joy finding anyone to refurbish your Le Castellet alloys?
Nope, still no joy. Very frustrating! Do you know of anyone, or are you trying to find someone too?

There's a company I have seen on Instagram/Facebook called Rimscarnated. I know they do polished and split rim refurbs. Not used them myself so can't say for sure but their work looks good and I think a few folk from the club have had wheels done there before.
