No
3) Should I do anything in here before replacing the bumper?
Clean it out, then Spray a Corrosion prohibitor in it
4) Where do people put immobilizers? Dash?
Are we talking Tasers? Usually under the dash, heat shrink and solder all wires.
5) Where does this straight edge go? Facing the tire or body?
Towards the body.
6) What is the inside diameter of top mounts? (Febi, if they vary). Wondering if I have to drill them out as my front struts are 14mm.
Front or rear, usually you don't have to drill any thing.
As a matter of fact there is usually a Bushing that you may have to file down the fronts so that you don't get a hammering of the strut to the mount.
7) How do I open this door to change the ignition connector?
Never needed to
8) I was thinking of installing a GPS tracker in the bumper, and hiding the wires in the indicator sheath & headlight relays. Any thoughts?
Buy a burner Phone, wire it to Charge from the rear, and Place it in the car interior, cheaper doesn't have an antenna.. Overkill I suspect.
Headlight relays, are the best cheapest upgrade you can do to solve dim headlights. They sell kits on ebay and places that work well, just make sure that your kit has Ceramic Sockets for the head lights.
3 relay systems allow all filaments to burn when the "highs" are on. I have a how to in the Archive section click the link in my Signature.

T.a.s.e.r. is short for Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle.
Know you are informed that it was the Brain child of a Childrens book…..
Well to me that is one form of immobilizer, after being shocked by a Cattle Prod across the heart years ago….It can smart….
Billy Club is another immobilizer.
Pulling the Fuel Pump relay and stashing it under your seat is just as effective, doesn't cost a thing, and well no wiring is needed. You can even cut the power lead into the fuse panel for it and place a hidden switch to enable it. Most cars won't run far with that removed. The Carbed cars are a wee bit different, but…. a Ford Starter relay and a switch can stop most cars from getting battery power, thy are good for over 40 amps.
But if some one wants your car, they will take it on a flatbed tow….
They actually sell a taser/flashlight that you can carry in your car.
