Considering doing a brake upgrade but just a couple questions. I've got a 9 inch brake servo, 22 mm master cylinder and 256 mm brake set up for the brake upgrade and have read the guide on shortening the threads for the clevis. Just a couple questions for the following:
- Do the rest of the brake pipes set up stay original? As in can i leave my residual valves in place with my rear load compensator?
- Or does the 22 mm M/C require you to use proportioning valves instead and get rid of the residual valves and rear load compensator? I'm using drums on the rear so hope think i can leave the original set up just wanted to be sure.
Thanks

tbh even with rear drums you can probably get shot of the valves, mk2/3 golf dont use them and the rear cylinders are the same on mk1 and mk2 and you've got bigger brakes up front than any mk1/2 with drums
