Looks like a rust stain but not sure how it got inside and bleach pads doesn't shift it.
Any help appreciated.

Wet them then ring out most of the water…Scrub gently as you will be doing the whole headliner.
Last resort.
Spray Brake clean on a rag, not sloppy wet and gently wipe the stain only….
once the stain lifts, then use the magic Erasers to get it all the same color.

I've just attempted cleaning mine with UPVC cleaner from screw fix which worked brilliantly on the majority of it but I have been reliably informed that the yellowing that these head linnings can suffer will be hard to shift.
Ginger stains are more permanent, I'm getting a black linning fitted

Sounds like a good answer to me to be honest. How easy is it to take the lining off? Is there a guide anywhere on here i can follow?

The headliner is the first thing you put on when doing a hood change. Spraying it in situ is the only way that I know of to do it without removing
1. The outer skin.
2. The padding Kit
3. The headliner after freeing it from the Bars and Screws and bit that hold it on.
If you do decide to paint it, you need to mask of every thing, and I mean every part that you don't want painted.
The VHS or even Duplicolour Vinyl Dye rattle can paint avail at autostores, works really really well and is very durable…However, before I resprayed my Cabriolets white seats, I cleaned them with hot soapy water, then with Brake Clean on a rag (not sloppy wet but damp) to make the Vinyl a bit sticky and open pores in it. I Sprayed 2-3 coats on my seats and it held up really well.
Lasted about 7-8 years, I just had to use light cleaners to clean them….

What did you use to apply it? A sponge?

Just a quick question about the instructions as it says that the dye should be sealed with " leather finish" after the second coat.
Did you use that as well?
Cheers
