Some places do sell just the shorter bump stops and covers, I think the ones in the kit are made by Febi but not 100% sure?
I have before cut a section out of the bump stop and glued the 2 ends back together but over time the glue breaks and you need to re glue them back together.

Where did you buy the bulb kit?
I've been thinking of doing it, but not sure how many of what type of bulb I need.

Looks good! Even the clock is lit.

It needs 3 bulbs 1 for speedometer 1 for rev counter and 1 for the clock. Check that they're all working before putting the full dash back together as I did to find 1 wasn't working 😡. You can get them off vw heritage or also on eBay.

I've been recommended using this stuff on here for my vinyl roof to keep it supple and protect it from sun etc, can't comment on how good it is yet as the roof is only 6 months old, but when I did use it the water beeded nicely on the roof and just blew off.
I guess you have fitted another vinyl roof?

Well worth the expense of a new roof to keep the car water tight.

I found this info for your chrome grill: "There is also what is known as the Hella grille insert which is the same as a '79-'87 grille except it has lights in the center section. This grille came stock on many Cabriolets in Europe. If installing this grille on A/C-equipped cars, the A/C condenser will most likely need to be relocated or removed. (Also available in aftermarket versions as well as badgeless.)"
My car is in getting some spot paint work done. Hope the blending turns out. BTW if you need to touch up the paint, our paint code is Bronze Grey Metallic LA8Y.

Thanks for the bulb details Brad . I need to find a replacement clock as well, the LCD has run in the corners.

I've been searching all day and found the same info about the hella grill but cannot seem to find a new 1 anywhere, there's 1 on eBay but the plastic has got a crack on it so not going to bother with that!
That's abit of a pain regarding the new cluster for you 👎🏼

Bought my first mk1 golf
Not changed my roof as it's dry stored.
Mr Kenneth has supplied new waistline trim (yet to fit it )
I drove to Gloucester to see another same colour as on left.
Happy motoring.
Ps was new roof vinyl or canvas.

Really smart the pair of them, I always preferred the tin tops but as soon as I saw mine in this colour the cabbys have really grown on me!
