if it was me i would find the control brain behind the dash, chase and remove all the wiring. prepare yourself for a large amount of wire bodgery repair though, with all the many looms I have looked at never have I see a nice alarm or immobiliser install
Thanks, thought that might be the case! Might carry on using it. Just need to work out how to reset the alarm after disconnecting.

I have seen a lot of Iffy alarm installs, cut and twisted wire pairs with 200 feet of electrical tape to hold it.
Don't get me started on "Knackered, hacked, chopped" installs of Radios and alarms over the years… It can scare me and I have been doing wiring forever.

Argh, you're all scaring me now. I think Toad Alarms were big the 80's. I also need to tackle the aftermarket stereo.
Looks like I'll be stripping the wiring out…
