finally back in a mk1
story as it appears so far is its a 79 ls 1.5 3 door 130k on the original engine which was last ran 2 years ago and I'm pretty confident it should run again with a refresh on all the consumables, i love the sunroof which the last owner wasn't keen on but it makes it different in my view. The history on it is great now that I've managed to get a sift through it, I've got every mot from new and also every yearly service record from new which is bloody extensive its had 3 previous owner the second one having owned it for 31 years going by my calculations.
Bad areas so far I've found that need attention are passenger sill replacing 2 patches on the inner rear arches a new front panel and possibly a couple of rear arches depending what they clean up like, interior is in great condition and not to molested either.
plan is to run it slightly tatty for a while until funds allow for a full spray and real sorting out.
hope you like.

seems someone thought catty was an excellent path for a leaking sump cf_emoticons__BangHead:
old for new!, just baffles me why someone would spend the time and money to do something so cowboy style when a brand new sump has probably cost me the same cash as the tub of catty

Nice little motor you've got there, can't beat an S1!
Shame about the bodywork, but seen far forse in my time so should be a fairly easy job for any bodyshop.
Just goes to show though what can be hiding beneath what looks like a pretty sound car.. Thats why I could never part with mine lol, despite seeing lots of other "finished" cars up for sale for less that what im spending on my re-spray.. You just never know lol.. At least when it's done you can be safe in the knowledge that you've got a keeper that you know is sound for a good few more years!!
Wanted: Front Bumper, DESPERATELY NEED A DRIVERS WING!
