Help
After a long and frustrating wait with the restorers/bodyshop I'm supposed to be using to finish off my resto, I am now getting to the point where I am looking elsewhere to get my car finished. Ideally I am looking for somewhere in the North East but I realise that I may have to search further afield.
After doing a bit research tonight and after looking at countless coachworks/bodyshops, I have found only 2 so far that I would consider, as these seem to offer what I'm looking for.
http://www.classiccarlab.com/ This company offer the full shebang!! and look really good, I will be contacting these guys.
http://www.creativecoachworks.co.uk/projects.html These guys look pretty good also.
Can anyone recommend any other reputable bodyshops?
Thanks in advance,
Andy.

Would you bring it to sunny Sheffield? Know a real good painter (owns the mk1 r32) I can have a word with Jon and see how his shed looks? He isn't cheap though.
Yeah definitely Brad, Sheffield is only a couple of hours away. Have a word if you wouldn't mind, just when you get a chance mate.

Greg painted mine and it won best paint at the AGM. and got marked down at Stanford Hall because "the paint is just too good"
His own Mk1 got best paint at Ultimate dubs last year. He'll be painting the rallye I'm restoring.
I know people travel from all over to get their paintwork done there so don't be put off by the distance. He's got one coming from Paris soon! Its a small price to pay long term.
I think the issue maybe getting it in. I know he's very busy.

Was going to suggest him, but biased opinion as I know Jon well, his work is top notch. Done various show winning cars now

I'm starting to get impatient now though as my car is just sitting there doing nothing I just wan't it out of the way so I can concentrate on doing the engine and re-furbing other parts.

That is exactly the type of place I'm looking for Yomp. Is the green Mk1 on his site his own car? It's a beauty!
It was - he's just sold it.
Meguires shipped it over to America for 6 months a couple of years ago and had it on their stand at some of the Big US shows to showcase how we do it on this side of the pond.
