I have just purchased a set rather than go with coilovers. I am hoping that the price tag that is double that of JOMs etc. will prove to give me a better and more comfortable ride with decent handling characteristics.
I would appreciate some heads up on the ride quality if anyone knows what it will be like before I fit them.
I will use this thread to update after I fit them.

They give a firm ride, mid way between the softest setting on my Weitec coilovers and standard. Can get a little harsh on bumpy roads. It does have power flex polybusjes all round and Eibach anti roll bars that do add to the stiffness.

See on the H&R website they list 3 different part numbers with exactly word for word the same speel for all 3. I got the -1 items on order. Hopefully I've got the right ones. From what you've said it sounds very much like I will be pleased with the results as I want a softer ride and the drop will hopefully not be as severe as the spax setup on the car currently.
Have you fitted these H&R jobbies yet? what's the verdict?
I was thinking of getting some Spax, but I've heard a couple of stories saying the quality isn't as good as it used to be, and it looks like VW Heriatge are no longer (currently) stocking them. Was thinking of getting the H& R kit. I'm getting to my middle years (Mid 20's, second time around!) and don't want to firm a ride.
Ta for your thoughts.
