Whats your MK1 for ????
Great fun to drive though, and she's just a lovely thing to have - really enjoyed driving home at sunset last night with the roof down, wish I'd had my camera on me!

don`t think it`ll ever become my daily car though..i`d stop appreciating it if i drove it everyday,
at the moment i seem to be liking my polo again,so i`ll just keep chopping/changing to maintain my interest in both cars.

i sold up my expensive depreciating car as it was just a money pit.
i am trying to do as much work on it myself as i feel confident doing.
i wanted one of these for years and am really enjoying ownership.
its only 1.3 but i don't care.
its full of dents and marks but i don't care.
next year i will attack the appearance. the mechanical side is priority at the moment.

Me too, though I didn't sell my expensive depreciating car as I never had one.
My '79 1500 diesel is my daily, with half the running cost of my '80 1800 cabriolet, which comes out whenever it's nice, not so often this time of year.
It's so much nicer to drive than a modern car, and like I said, I'm saving money too.
The bodywork doesn't really like the winter, but it's getting fixed slowly, and my run to work is country roads, around 20 miles each way.
