The Lysholm Install has begun (Power run Added 21/5/12)
Here is a sneak preview of what the install will look like:
It is the silenced version, which means the throttle body will be mounted on the input to the charger, therefore the charger is only drawing the air that the throttle body allows it to, but at full chat it will sound like a blown V8 I am told - can't wait :-)
I am running a 50mm pulley that theoretically will produce about 22psi of boost. The Lysholm is 15 to 20% more efficient than the G60 so should see some useful torque increases right across the rev range.
Will update this thread as the install continues.

But it is a big block injection engine !!!! :-)
I did debate the forum to put it in :-) :-)
The Big Block Injection Engine section is for those who have a problem with their engine to ask other members for help/advice.
Only advice I could offer is……. :punk: :punk: Heavy Oil :punk: :punk:

Had another day on her today, was hoping to fire her up but just ran out of time. The good news is that the charger, intercooler, radiator, throttle body etc are all fully mounted.
Just got to fit the belt tensioner, finish plumbing the breather in, extend the wires to the TPS, wire the alternator and fan back up and sort out the vacuum pipe.
Then just oil and water…
Yes the plan is to take her to Wolfsburg. Once she is running again I need to get 500 miles done with a rev limit of 4000rpm to bed the charger in. Then it will be off to Norfolk to get Emerald to do a full map. Then ideally I would like around 1000 miles motoring before the German trip !!!

I have a small problem in that the intercooler silicon tubes "suck in" at low revs and then blow out as the boost comes on. I had not planned on this, I guess the G60 gets around this by having the boost return and throttle operated butterfly. I have had a look around the net and it is a common issue that is resolved by using solid aluminium tube. Could do with a mobile tig welder to come and make some tubes in situ !! But will probably but some 45 degree tubes, cut them to size and then get them re beveled.
Anyway here she is running, no more than 4000 rpm because I have got to run the charger in for 500 miles yet.
