getting rid of my problem car
at the moment i own a 2006 stilo m-jet sporting and had no end of problems with her.
i will be getting rid of her next year and i am looking at getting a mk1 convertable of some sort.
i have always wanted one since i was about 19 and now at 24 i think i should, but i am having troulbes getting the wife on board.
i need to make sure that this car will be realiable due to using it daily. i know i need to get a well maintained one and keep the maintaince up but are they hard to look after and costly or not
cheers all

if the car is older, then in her eyes is a rust bucket waiting to break down all the time.
i am trying to change this but its hard, might tell her it will gets rid of the bingo wings, That might do it.

welcome to the club, and once you have your golf keep an eye out in the regional section as i will be arranging some Bristol meets soon.
With regards to reliability PaulC has pritty much covered it all, low mileage cars, or full dealer service history cars etc dont neccesarily mean reliability. I bought a FSH punto sporting one owner from new and had problem after problem, but a £45 sierra stop gap car from the auctions in Bedminster did me for the 6 months MOT it had remaining with not one problem!
i have sent you a pm reference your search for a cabby !
