I saw the stand briefly but the next time i walked back the banner was gone. Was the early light blue mk1 part of the stand? My girlfriend loved that car. I really need to get my car sorted
The early Blue was my mates, we kinda just winged it at the end for the stand as I wasn't sure if I was going or not, but he's a paid member of the club (had the cfar at the NEC Classic Car lasy year on our stand).

Did see Lawsy and Wendy from afar but was taking photos for my mate's drag team all day, so if anyone spotted the stickered up Mk1 Jetta doing 16s then I was probably somewhere nearby. It ran against M7R and pipped him by a couple of tenths I think
Will try and post some photos later, but they're pretty much all of my mates cars so will probably be a bit boring for everyone
Had a great day though, saw some really inspiring stuff so good timing for the start of my project methinks

hehe dont worry im like a ninja, folks know the car but not me ops: you make just piped me, my biggest problem was laying the power down! no matter what I did it make squeeling noises in 1st and into second but after talking to a mate running super sticky toyos he was strugling too and hes only pushing 150ish in a 16v mk2, I spent a while talking to your mate in the que, he was running a spec very close to mine so im kinda pleased he was running around the same times as me
It was a brill show, lots of cool cars, a good turn out of mk1s (mine was only really there for the lunch time ops: as I spent more time waiting in line to make a noise on the strip), it was nice to catch up with a few folks I haven't seen for a while like Lawsy and his good lady Wendy, plus Rhys and to find out how he's getting on with his 1.8T, plus to meet a few new folk to like Rov, who I was ditermined to beat on the strip as I wasnt being beaten by a diesel - I did it - JUST…
some really cool pics too, any one get one of all of use on the stand around lunch? as it look wicked with them all parked up, every one different but all soo cool.

Yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah but there's always a "What if" isn't there!!! What if it was petrol? What if it had 3 doors instead of 5? What if the body kit wasn't fitted? What if the tyres were different? etc etc etc!!!!!
Only joking mate. At least you now have a benchmark to improve upon.
