Never Ending

Hi there everyone. Just discovered the site a couple of days ago. i'm busy building a mk1 as weel but it has taken me forever. The golf has been standing on the farm striped down with no window under a tree so you can imagine what it looked like. And sorry no pic's from how it looked. All lost from all the moving around.

Would like to put some pic's so you can see what it looks like at the moment and how i'm getting on with it but don't know how. So if someone can please just explain to me how to get the pic's added it would be nice.

Just found out how to do this myself mate.
Depends on if your on a pc or phone.
Go to google and search, how to upload pics onto mk1 golf owners club website.
There's info on there

Thank you pbenny0, think i got it sorted. Did a test with that image but that is also the lights that i want to fit to my golf. Hope to get the shell back soon so that i can start adding some pic's of it.

Morning guys. Small update Nothing big as the problem with my project is that i have moved alot the last couple of years and been necleckting the pour thing and parts are lying around all over. Most of it is in a workshop in Henley on klip, the shell in Roodepoort and the motor in a workshop of a friend in Springs. So i'm starting to get so bits together now and starting to clean then up. This forum has really inspired me to get it all together again and and get it put back together. And the thing is as i'm writing this i am moving again.

But enough talking here is what i've started on. The altenator and carbs.

I will finish that this weekend bacause i'm in Witbank at the moment and those parts are in Dunnotter at the Millitary Base. He he pretty messed up hey. Well i've done some work on the motor as well but after reading thru this forum and seeing some of the awesome work that you guys do i've got a whole new idea of what i want the motor to look like.

It doesn't look that bad but i think it can look much better.

Let me know what you guys think. I hope to have everything back together in one place by the end of this year. One more move left and then i think i'm settled for a few years to come.

Morning everybody, very small update. Got some work done yesterday afternoon in between getting home from Witbank and being called and told i have to go and pick up my girl and get take aways, so didn't get much done but what i did get done looks pretty nice so i'm happy.

Hi there everyone. Sorry i'm doing everything the wrong way around but at least you can get an idea of what i'm doing. Fitted new bearings, rectifire and bush to altenator and got some other parts painted.

Thx guys. MK1G4V i went with the orange because i'm painting the shell pasion blue or closest to that colour that they can find. Only reason for the litte golf not being displayed on here yet is because i only came acros this site after the shell was already towed to the panel shop and i've lost my fone with the pics of what it looked like before. But will put some pics up as soon as i get it back. Only problem is that its 250 km away so i'm working on a plan to get it back home. :dontknow:
But thx for the interest and the commends.  

o and ithought of doing the carbs like this. And i sent the top half in for polishing. I've seen it on someones forum thats on here. It was just in red and not orange. :dontknow:

Hi there everyone. Got some bad news the other day. Went to get my parts at the workshop where it was stored only to find out that it has closed down and someone came to clean it out and now nobody knows where the stuff is. So with everything gone this is conna take even longer. No windows, rubbers, steering rack, roof lining, nothing. All gone. But i've got started on some "new" stuff. Will put some pics soon.

Hi there smudger, sorry haven't been on here for a while now. had myself a baby boy and working 7 days a week. But as soon as I get some time to spent on it again I will post some new pics but for now it's on hold.
