suspension overhaul - Coilovers, ARB's, strut braces and bushes.. Have a healthy budget.

I want to update my suspension so I'm after some Coilovers, ARB's and bushes for my GTi Rivage Cabriolet.

I want a nice ride and the option to run lower and stiffer would be nice. But in reality I'll want a nice subtle drop on 15" wheels, improved handling without sacrificing ride quality (too much). Realistically I'll be running some 15x8 BBS RM/RS and want the top of the tyre hidden but nothing silly for the time being.

I don't have have a budget in mind and the cars a keeper so want to buy once and do it properly. The cars a weekend toy so I want to future proof whatever that can bring, I could end up doing a track day or two or even giving it a silly drop for the shows, who knows.

Coilovers - Ive seen the KW V3's as they have rebound and damping adjustability, or is this overkill for my needs and the V2's will cut it. Should I be looking at anything else?

ARB's - Looking at the H&R kit, they are adjustable and come with poly bushes. 22/26mm. Seem a better spec than the Eibach and KW - thoughts?

Bushes - I'm thinking standard all around other than poly bushing the ARB and steering rack. I don't want to be too stiff, unless the wishbones would be better poly?

Strut Braces - It has a lower K Bar already, are replacement aftermarket braces better or shall I stick with this? What about the front upper? Worth it? I've been led to believe the rear braces are worthless due to the cabby' extra reinforcement in the boot?

Any advice welcome

V3s are a good choice. Won't be disappointeda once they are set up.

Find myself in the same situation as I am doing a hefty restoration. After reading some specs I came up w/ KW V2 coilovers - as you said I want to adjust the system depending the wheels fitted.

On paper I thought V3 might be overkill. We are almost six yrs (time flies) after you post. Could you share your experience about the KW V3's?

I found KWs overly stiff. I currently have D2 36way adjustables. I've run H&R in the past on other cars and was never disappointed.

As far as bushings go, I'm running all poly including the steering rack but original style in the rear beam pivot. I also have camber plates up front with pillow ball mounts. The car isn't over stiff but fells solid and taunt.
