Post

Quick question over replacing the main fuel pump in my cabby.

Would this cheap pump be a direct replacement?

If not could someone point me in the direction of one… thanking you in advance :)

Thanks for confirming John :) It is indeed a Kjet, may give this a bash and see how it goes ..!

Just to update, I've fitted the pump I linked to on eBay earlier this afternoon and the fuel pump whine has been completely eliminated.

Got to say the quality of the pump is pretty damn good, when in comparison to the original unit it's slightly larger in size (taking into account the original pump has a rubber sleeve), to my mind this is only a good thing!

Keep us updated on that fuel pump as I was wandering how good they are as the Bosch item is £100!
I may get a spare and just to stick in the garage just in case..

Will do, don't see why it won't hold out for a good while. Besides even if I do need to redo this job down the line, it's a damn site easier than some fuel filters i've changed on other cars!!
