No lights, indicators and a bit of which wire goes where?

I am new to Golf Mk1's and am trying to restore all functionality of my electrics. Can anyone please give me any help or instructions to help resolve some issues… I shall list the ones I can remember for now D:

Some quick details - the car was de bumpered, then a new owner stripped most of the car to do as a project but threw in the towel. It's an 1983 1.3l 3 door and has had a lot of screwing about done with it -_- So here we go:

No headlights, rear lights, side lights - checked the fuses which are all intact.

Indicators - Flash really quick as no bulbs in the front but cannot seem to find where the front indicators would be? When the hazard switch is on only one side flashes and it still flashes fast, when using the stalk once again only the n/s flashes and doesn't do anything at all when trying to indicate right.

Starting the car… Currently battery showing about 11.5v but will not even attempt to turn over… when i put jump leads on it starts first turn. When running battery shows 14.2v+… the battery might be causing some issue here as wasn't used for the last couple of years but is only 3 years old (And it seems to hold charge)

Tachometer doesn't work - I think this is the only thing on the clocks that doesn't work as it appears to have been converted (possibly) as some stage, I remember on my sisters mini a connector come off the coil so I'm wondering if it's something as simple as that? What colour is the wire that sends the signal and where's it go?

And here's a couple of pics to finish off if you can help identify these wires cause I'm having trouble tracing them in the haynes!

Where abouts does this plug in to? I traced it from the dash (t14/4) joined onto what looks like the indicator stalk (related to my indicator issue) back to around the fuse box

And this wire as well, trying to find where it goes in the engine bay?

It came from this pin

I hope I can get some help on this and I thank you all in advance :) I'm going to have another crack tomorrow when I get in from work!

Right got all the lights and indicators working.

Can anyone help with the wires?

Also I couldn't get the car to start today, it has fuel and spark but wouldn't start up. The coil pack got very very hot though, any thoughts?

I can't help with the wiring but hopefully someone can.

Have you checked that you have your earth lead (brown wire) attached to the rocker cover? That solves a lot of electrical issues in one go. If it's not, it'll be dangling in the bay somewhere.
You need
To remember that not all electrical connections actually attached to something in the engine bay due to the different optional extras. I have unused ones and asked the same question many moons ago!!
Also, check the FAQ section at the bottom of the forum, it had loads of useful info there.

Cleaned all the earths and now treated them with zinc/etch primer and stonechip but not made any difference.

Everything is working now though and that red/black wire for for the rev counter so now that works yay!

Car wouldn't start due to a weak spark in two plugs so change them and now it runs and drives!
Going to start putting her back together now.

That black wire in the fuse of is a mystery still though…
