Number plate lights

cabrio issues...

Hoping someone can help and offer some quick and simple advice…

I have one number plate light but not the other. The wiring I have in place is a live and earth which connects to the first light, then from that a live feed from the first to the second light, but no further earth. Does the 2nd light earth from the tailgate or should there be additional wiring I'm missing???

thanks in advance
Craig

It's really common that one of the number plate lights stops working.

I'm pretty certain the bulb holder acts as the earth on that one against the tailgate. Give all connections a clean and the holder itself. It's usually enough to get it working.

Thanks mate. Did that, but to no avail. I'll try a new bulb holder and see how we get on!

Ended up doing that and nothing. Ordered a new lamp holder as it appears it's a duff connector.
