Cracked dash repair

Has anybody had such luck repairing a cracked dash to a good standard? 

The method I'd use would be sand it down where its split and worn, fill the cracks with maybe hot glue or similar, maybe fill and sand, then a textured paint? 

Does this sound like it could work?appreciate any input

There was a kit available I think, saw it on car sos recently
May be worth a google search

Looked at that buddy, looks like it does a small repair quite well to be fair. It would take me a while on cracks like the s1 leather ones get along the top. Also found a 'no heat' alternative, watched a video and the result was poor to be quite honest lol  :lol:
