Essex meet?

Anyone wanna get together for a Essex meet?

yep! where are you? Essex is quite quiet, I know one or two of the guys meet up off the back of an East Coast Dubs meeting near Colchester.
Seems like an Essex meet has never really taken off although it has been tried, perhaps now there are more of us it might be more successful?
There is also an "Essex VW night" that has various clubs all meeting in Boreham once a month, look them up on Fb.

Andy is the Essex coordinator I'm sure he will assist.

I'm from Rayleigh. I've seen a few mk1 cabriolets flying around the area and always giving a thumbs up so thought some might be on here?!

Ive ve got a mk1 1988 cabriolet. Thought it would be good to meet people with same experiences and get away from the misses as I think I drive her mad talking about cars all the time

 

I'm in Braintree. I've got a 1990 Gti cabby. like you I also have a wife who could do with less car chat!!

I'm up for a meet assuming mine passes the MOT Saturday. I'm closer to Clacton but work in Colchester so an evening meet suits.

Perhaps Bas Vegas? I could hit up the cable then.

Wow you boys are keen, 630!! I will prob get there nearer 7. I will be in a Helios blue cabrio with 5 spoke alloys.

I assume the pub does food? Either I leave work late, grab some grub at Mc D's or at the pub. Eitherway I've got 90 mins and only a 45min journey.

Pub does food, last time I went it got quite busy but it's better than a golden m all day long!! And you will be there early enough.Any one got an idea on how to get this out to all potential Essex peeps. I saw the London thread had got all potential s for the region in a big email list??

Head over. I'll likely be there past dusk. Never driven the cabby in the dark. I expect it to be like driving my mondeo except with sunglasses on.

Will be at the Mc D's for 630. Had a look at the menu for the Grange and while it looks nice a budget option suits better at the mo.

Look for my cabby and a yellow bay camper.
