LIKE it!
But my eyes could not be drawn away from the Landi.
Owned five in my time and when I moved to Austria some 20 years ago this winter. I drove my LWB Safari TD (white of course), full to bursting over night with only fuel stops.
Through Germany's worst snow storm in over 30 years. Oh how I do miss the good old days!

But I wouldn't say no to a Syncro.

Ive had the yellow land rover 14 years but never use it. I don't have the heart to sell it.
I'm getting rid of a an old discovery that I have used for the last 3 years instead.

The yellow Landy is pretty tricked up.

Nice find Graham. You'll probably use and abuse it over the winter and could get your money back in spring if you don't keep it

I'd have one again tomorrow if the Wife would let me.
So I'll have to stick with my Mk1 I guess!

Its a lot of fun to drive around islands because you get no understeer.

I find myself going round twice to see how fast I can go before I either get into a 4 wheel slide or fall off the poverty spec seats and get penetrated by the handbrake lever!.

I think if you put a set of Winter Tyres on it , it would be pretty much invincible this winter.  I looked for one a couple of years ago as a winter car for my wife and she ended up convincing me she needed a convertible instead……

I've got a brochure for this and the Jetta version, I wonder how many Jettas are left if there are so few Golfs?

I'm sure there was a VW promo advert/film of one going up a ramp that was made of wet ceramic tiles (mimicking ice) and grids of ball bearings.

I was vaguely watching it on ebay but difficult justify as already have two golfs…..

According to Howmanyleft 2 taxed and 8 sorn!!
By my maths that makes 10 Syncro Jettas :o

I'd love a read of your sales brochure!

Thanks for the comments you lot!

Its turning into a keeper. I've just bought another MK2 driver for spares. It was only 10 minutes from where I live and was cheap. Just gotta find somewhere to store them all!

Somethings gotta give! Anyone interested in a black mk1?!:o;)
