In the dog house for this one.....

Found this little tin top non sunroof, 166k 3 owners from new. Plenty of free cobwebs and only a little rust, not run in  years…..
All seems of fired up first turn of the key.
Needs a few bits..
windscreen pillar repair
rear valance.
Tailgate and lifters to stop more bangs on the head!!
Good clean in
Could do with p slots refurbing and some tyres which actually hold air!!

new grille, I have a debadged on but want this to be 100% original
Fresh coat of original paint colour.

















Hopefully when finished i'll be out of the dog house.

Looks quite solid from the pictures, nice find. mind you it's got Ed China Stripes, which would be first on the list!

Need to get yourself out of the dog house somehow, I bought my wife a Streetka  as a  'toy' which means I had plenty of credits when I decided to get my Golf back on the road!  Kept getting some grief for the two sets of BBS wheels I bought for mine, so just hot her another set for her Streetka for the winter - balances the books nicely.

Looks nice, thought it looked a bit odd and then I noticed the upside down side stripes :Lol:


Looks like it won't take much to get her looking new again

Nice job on the seats    how come just the seats was like that? Not bein a hijacker but i have 2 grills both oem 1 is the campagin on other is single head light look in the selling part hope this helps

Finally got around to starting on the body work.

May need some top mounts too!

Something about a red with red stripe trim that is timeless.

Started to take the car apart to find out just how good or bad the shell is….



eventually found some good metal on the pillar. Inner sections rotten so it looks like it will be a new section cut in.
