Making changes

August 82' GLI Cabrio

Needs a bit of work but is a great start to make a nice example. Been running around in the sun with roof down earlier this week and it's fantastic!

It came badged up as a GTI so iv replaced the tailgate badges for original GLI ones and removed the grill badge and deep front chin lip. I'm planning on removing the plastic arches and replacing the front offside wing as its rotten. Iv removed the wheel spacers but iv decided to keep these wheels for now.
I will valet the carpet then see how it looks before I decide to renew it, also I'm going to deep clean the leather interior. I need to sort the loose dash as well and im on the lookout for some correct clips for the lower dash section.

When it arrived….

After a wash and polish….

Hoping for some good weather soon and il move onto the interior…

Before and after shot of the project single headlight and thin chin lip spoiler

Love the transformation on the front end

Next will be the coilovers and maybe a wheel swap to steels, g60 or scirocco GT then iv got a drivers wing to fit when I remove the plastic arches
