Story
Just to let you know, over two decades of hard work have gone into the car I have today. The idea to make “Frankie” into the jaw-dropper had is started with a peach MK1 Rabbit I saw while flipping through a VW Trends magazine almost 20 years ago. It was just like my car. I could do that to my car… Seeing that just lit a fire inside me.
To be honest, working on Frankie originally started out of necessity. I was 16 and couldn’t afford a mechanic so I had to figure it out for myself. Keep in mind that this was before the internet had caught on, so I was pretty much on my own. It was tough at times, and I won’t lie, there were moments when I thought about giving up. I just had to make my childhood dream come true. Luckily, I managed to meet a few people that were able to steer me in the right direction, and made some lifelong friendships along the way. They all say pretty much the same thing, “You finally did it.”

Special Thanks

Big thanks goes out to my family and friends for putting up with my obsession. You helped me stay sane all these years, and saw all the dedication I had put into this lifelong venture.  A huge thanks goes out to Comp Turbo for such an awesome product (perfection at its best).  Special thanks goes out to Tom Beam (@vdubvr6) of Excalibur Auto Body for this awesome paint job, Bobby Gill (@jazz_20th_gti) and Ryan Bachman (@the.standard.esteem) for the great photos.  Jamie Orr (@xjamiexoe) from Orchid Euro (@orchideuro)- you are one of a kind,.  Huge props and thanks to Andrew Serafin (@r32andy1) of Down&Out for this spectacular video.  Steven Miklaucic you are truly the best powder coater I have ever seen and you represent outstanding work for Lakeview Industries.  With all my heart I thank you all; I could not have made my dreams come true without you folks.  Thank you!!!

Good to see you on here Greg, didn't know how much time and effort (as well as parts) had gone into your car! Looks stunning and all the parts work together visually which is what I find so impressive.
