hello from county durham!

hi, i've recently bought a mk1 golf which is my first. i've owned a beetle previous and a mk2 gti but this is a little project for the next couple of years as spare time is limited with a new baby! The shell isn't in too bad condition but I will be going through the car with a fine tooth comb as I work with cars for a living and I know how much of a pain rust can be once its set in. ive recently bought the mk1 tin top and I have contacted the person who previously had the car to see if they have any of the old parts which have been stripped off like the engine and seats etc as it was stripped when I bought it.
I'm based in co durham and im looking for some panels to replace corrosion such as the scuttle, wings, inner wings, arches etc

Do get some pictures posted as we love to see pics of the Mk1.
