First post : My car. webers abf

Hey everyone,

My name is Stevie and this is my car mk1 golf ABF conversion with twin weber 45s and piper cams.

Some of you might recognise this car as I didn't do the conversion. I have converted a mk2 to a vr6 in the past but recently sold that.



lots of plans for this but as of owning it I have got the internals of the webers sorted out to be more effective for this engine and a better higher flow fuel pump the interior consists of two seats a dash and a wheel, so that will have to change.

Thank you man ! Its immaculate, lovely example of a mk1, got some plans for it in the future so we will see how it goes

Thanks man ! Yeah its had a lot of cash spent on it. I just spent a lot of money getting it running correctly with the right jets and chokes.

sort of the same as mine i got the kr with webber 45 or 40s hows yours run and clue to bhp as well

It runs perfect man here is a wee video of it on idle.

It got rolling roaded a couple years ago when it wasn't set up to its best at 175bhp, my guess now is maybe 180 ?

Nice   where you get them webber cover looking thing ?

They came with the carbs but are great much better looking that the massive foam covers.

Have you got different cams in it ? Its such a nice engine to have in the mk1 ! I put a VR into a mk2 which sounded awesome.

Yeah it's fast road cam's and a ported and Polish head. I don't know what cams tho as they were already on when I bought the car.
