Hi all

Having  wanting a golf 1.8gti cab from the age of 18 I have finally made the plunge …(now 38) I was thinking of entering it in the anniversary gathering show and shine but being a new coming to all this have no idea what would suit my car…..please HELP!

The cars totally standard with the triple white interior that's faultless ….the cars also in really good condition so unsure.

Hi welcome along to the club Lenny.

I imagine best category would be "best standard cabriolet" although if you use the car every day there is a "best daily driver" category too :)

You can enter you car here:

Hope that helps

Thanks scott

Only bought a few mths ago and spent my time getting the car upto a standard …so it wouldn't be right to enter use everyday category….the interior mint also but unsure if this was aimed at custom interior  O_o

I assume that it could be standar, although from memory alot who enter best interior are custom re trims :)

Ah right i bought my car from Yorkshire (i think) lol

I dont understand the new system of uploading photos, i do it the old way….

Sign up with photobucket.com
Upload the photo to their website
Click the image
On the right hand side there are 4 "codes"
I copy (ctrl + c) the 4th one starting [ IMG ]
Paste it(ctrl + v) into the text box of this website
When you click the "make post" button the website changes the code into the picture ;)

It's had some paint …. Not a bad job but small details I need to sort … This was taken when I first got it … I have had the wheels refurbished and the front bumper and arches done after this picture was taken ,The car had the seat covers that you see on the pictures fitted when new … They have never been off … So the seats are mint like the rest of the interior … It's only done 46000 miles .. The interiors white … Unsure and I am no expert so help would be good but someone said it was a karmann triple white?? Never heard of this so would be great to get some feedback?

I dont know too much about it, I think it was called the "All White" which was a limited edition GTI in late 80s as apposed to triple white

Karman put together all the cabriolets for volkswagen

"The Mk1 Cabriolet is of unibody construction built entirely at the factory of Karmann, from stamping to final assembly; Volkswagen supplied the engine, suspension, interior, etc. for Karmann to install."

check out www.cabby-info.com it may have some info on your model. its a great website loads of info on there
