Description:
This lhasa green car is a very good example of an original unrestored car, it is in standard unmodified condition. The shell has not had any welding and does not require it. The exterior is in in good condition, complete with it’s original deep spoiler, gti grille and surround, original tarantula alloys etc. The interior is in good condition with original trim, uncut original parcel shelf etc, fully working MFA etc.
I have completed a lot of work on the car over the last year with the intention of keeping the car, including :
Suspension and brake rebuild with new boge standard spec dampers, new discs, new pads, new trackrod ends, new arb mounts, new flexible brake pipes and rear cooper pipes, new front and rear wheel bearings, new rear wheel cylinders.
Cylinder head rebuilt by a reputable local VW specialist including all new valves, guides, stem seals and a reskim. New Sump.
Cam belt and tensioners.
Gearchange bushes and a replacement steering column boot.
New radiator and thermostat.
New mid-section exhaust and mounts.
New original spec alpine speakers and a cd/radio.

This has left a good, unmolested, mechanically well sorted standard GTi, it’s not a concours condition car, but as you know rare to find a good one in this condition and ready to enjoy.
