The best of the best..
Below you will see the competition winners from over the last year for the old Car of the Month competition which evolved into Picture of the Month earlier this year. Last years winner Swerve won with his fantastic helios blue campaign, you can see the write up here http://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/index.php?page=coty2014.
There will be an award for winning this plus your own forum page about you car (be warned, you will be badgered for lots of pictures and info!) and hopefully the winner will attend the Annual Gathering to pick up the award personally along with their car, we can post it out if you cant make it.
So fine people of the Mk1 Owners club, pick the bones out of this lot of beauties if you can!

For me all the cars were deserved of car of the year as firstly they are all great cars but more importantly their owners bothered to put them forward for the monthly comp.
What's really quite sad is that only 42 people made the effort to vote for Car of the Year.
Out of all the paid members in this great club only 42 could be bothered to look at the thread and click a winner !!
The really sad thing is that if it was in the FB page there would be hundreds of votes.
How can 9 votes win The Car of the Year ?
It should be 100's of votes that win and that is the fundamental problem of Forums, too much rubbish FB !!!!!!!!!
Things need to change !!!

I think at the time we closed the votes there was approaching 300 views. Why come on and not vote for one?
We announced at the AGM to the members our plans for rejuvenating the web site and making things like photo uploads as easy as FB. We aim to bring more traffic back to the forum and have less on FB, so watch this space
