Mk1 series 1 values

Hi, I have just had my MK1 resto finished.

T plate 60000 mile 3 door miami blue

20vt, ko4 fully rebuilt aftermarket management

quaife diff fully rebuilt gearbox

koni coilover, eibach roll bars, wilwood brakes

happich windows, clear opening quarters

full paint

The car was immaculate.

The garage were running it in and it had a fire in the engine bay :(

Their insurance have offered me £1500 for it and said I need to provide proof of similar cars have SOLD for to argue their figure.

They have based that on the guide prices on this page which personally I think are a long way out :(

Does anyone on here have any ideas of cars that have sold of similar spec and how much for please ??

 

I would hugely appreciate some help here or the insurance are going to completely rip me off :(

Send pictures of it to a classic insurance company (someone like lancaster or flux) and ask them to give you a agreed value price of say £5k. They usually charge about £30 for there service and that way you have professional opinion that they can't wriggle out of!!
