For one, mine doesnt have the brackets that fit over the window and secondly I dont know what adhesive to use that will be strong enough but wont damage paint or the spoiler if removed.
If anyone has fitted one before please let me know how you did it or what you used, also, pics would be great too Cheers,
Matt

I believe originally only the ends where glued down, the clips holding the on main part of the spoiler.

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Okay that makes sense, ive had a go at making the brackets but its mostly guesswork and as I lack good metalworking tools they arent very good :/

I've also taken a couple of pics of the brackets in situ on a MKI spoiler to give you an idea of orientation.
Both spoilers are near identical in principle so I'd imagine the same fitting instructions apply to each.
Having read this I'd err on the side of saying it's the brackets that provide the main security (specially when on the move, at speed) with the adhesive assisting / providing weatherproofing for the fittings. Both seem to be needed to fit it properly.
The smaller, black brackets are the MKII version + there for reference.
If you click on any of the scans / images they'll take you to my photobucket where you should be able to super-size them for ease of reading.
