Has anyone turned a cabriolet GTI into a tin top GTI style

This is just more something i'd be interested to know or see and that's whether someone has ever done an authentic job of turning their cabriolet into a tin top styled GTI?
Surely someone out there has done this before not that I can obviously find some good examples of this.
RichardHall's post about the exact placement of the various GTI decals got me thinking about this.
I'm semi intrigued by the idea of one day turning my helios blue cabby GTI effectively into the tin top version barring of course the obvious lack of roof!

In all likely hood i'll probably not endeavour to do this but I still like the idea of having my Cabby GTI look more like it's tin top equivalent. I reckon it would look really smart with duck bill, silver decals down the side etc.

I think it looks pretty good, particularly if a set of P-Slots were on there and red trim on grill.
