Can anyone tell me what 1140 at the top of the sticker refers to. I know 39 is the week number and 2 means the 2nd day of that week just can't seem to find out what 1140 means

I kinda thought it was the vehicle number off the line that day, not overly sure.

Also noticed that build date runs down the left side from top to bottom on the vin plate

Mine is missing aswell back panel was changed in the past

Yes can redo these perfectly. My son has reproduced these and charges £25 for each one. Quite a lot of work involved producing the finished product.

Use this link and all the numbers and codes will be explained for example here…. VIN Decoder

I know mine was registered in Austria on the 01-08-1990.
But using the table above I was able to work out that the car was built on the 19-06-1990, so 43 days before it was registered.

It was the 175th off the Cabby production line that day and 29,898th to role out of the factory that year.  :cool:How many Mk1 tin tops that year?   :lol:  :$  :thumbs:Should add that if anyone wants or needs a replacement VIN plate then talk to Shughy
He does them and they are first class repro's!
